Preconstruction Planning

Our preconstruction services provide a benchmark from which all other services are measured to provide a final product that meets our clients' expectations. These services include program and plan review, allowing us to provide clients with realistic budgets & schedules and serves as the first step in providing exceptional quality throughout the project.

Knowing that cost is the number one priority of most clients, our plan review and estimating process allows us to advise them of any construction and/or cost issues that are present or may arise. We monitor current market trends by maintaining up to date communications with our subcontractors, material suppliers and other industry contacts.

General

Contracting

As general contractor, we participate in two methods of project delivery; design-bid-build and design-negotiate-build. We avoid providing project budgets/bids that require the issuance of change orders in the later stages of a project to cover cost overruns due to under-estimating. With either of the two delivery methods, our clients are provided with a high-quality product at a reasonable cost.

Projects are assigned a dedicated on-site superintendent who stays with the project from beginning to completion. We contract with only reputable subcontractors that have the resources to provide quality workmanship in a timely manner.

Construction
Management

Our construction management services include providing a competent and experienced

full-time, on-site superintendent for all projects. Our on-site superintendents are responsible for ensuring that the work is being completed in a quality and timely manner. It is also during the construction management phase that we build and maintain our long-term relationships with subcontractors and material suppliers.

The project site is the main source of questions and/or possible issues with any project and we believe that on-site, full-time supervision is the critical link in the success of any project.

Located in North Wilkesboro, NC, Cubic Inc. was founded in 1991 by Frank J.M. Taracido and Ken Brooks. Prior to establishing the firm Frank was the Corporate Chief Engineer and Ken was the Construction Superintendent for Holly Farms Foods, Inc. until it was purchased by Tyson Foods, Inc. Cubic Inc. prides itself in providing competent supervision and management of all projects allowing us to provide a superior end product. The result of this teamwork is that over 85% of all our projects are for repeat clients and are typically negotiated, design-build with a guaranteed maximum price. With the experience, knowledge and the ability to foresee problems or issues on any particular project we are able to minimize change orders, RFI's, and unwanted surprises.

Since its inception, Cubic Inc. has been involved in a wide spectrum of project types, from religious to industrial. Our key team members have experience in a variety of construction disciplines allowing us to assure our clients that their project will receive the supervision and attention required.
